Solar charge controllers
A solar charger receives energy through solar modules and then stores it in batteries.Using the latest and fastest technology, SmartSolar maximizes this energy harvest and intelligently directs it to fully charge the batteries in the shortest time possible.SmartSolar maintains the functionality of the battery and therefore prolongs its useful life.
Remote monitoring and control
You can remotely control and monitor the extensive functions of your SmartSolar MMPT charger by connecting a Bluetooth dongle and pairing it with your smartphone or other device via VictronConnect. When your installation is connected to the Victron Remote Management Internet Portal (VRM), you have full access to your MPPT at any time and anywhere. Both services are available free of charge. For remote sites, even if there is no Internet connection or a nearby phone network, you can monitor your MPPT through Bluetooth pairing.
Bluetooth Smart
built-in Wireless solution to configure, monitor and update SmartSolar load controller.
VE.direct
For a cable data connection with a GX Control Color, other GX products, a PC or other devices.
Ultra-fast tracking of maximum power point (MPPT)
Especially under cloudy skies when the intensity of light constantly changes, an ultra-fast MPPT controller improves energy collection up to 30% compared to PWM load controllers and compared to the slowest MPPT drivers up to 10%By continuously monitoring the voltage output and current of its solar modules (PV), MPPT technology ensures that all available energy is extracted from the modules and stored. The benefit of this is more remarkable when the sky is partially covered and the intensity of the light constantly changes.
Advanced detection of the maximum power point in partial shading.
In the case of partial shading, there may be two or more maximum power points (MPP) in the current-tension curve.Conventional MPPTs tend to be installed in a local MPP.However, this may not be the optimal MPP.
The innovative BlueSolar device algorithm will always maximize energy performance by adjusting to the optimal MPP.
Excellent efficiency
No cooling fan.Maximum efficiency exceeding 98%.Full output current up to 40 C (104 °F).
Flexible load algorithms
Fully programmable load algorithm (see also the software page on our website), as well as eight pre-programmed algorithms that can be selected by a rotating button (see our manual for more details).
Integral electronic protection
Protection against overheating and reduced power at high temperatures.Protection against photovoltaic short circuits and reverse photovoltaic polarity.Reverse photovoltaic current protection.
Internal temperature sensor
Balance the constant and floating voltages by temperature.
External battery temperature and voltage measurement option via Bluetooth
A smart battery sensor or BMV-712 smart battery monitor can be used to transmit temperature and battery voltage data to one or more SmartSolar charge controllers.

*1a) When more photovoltaic energy is connected, the controller will limit the input energy.
*1b) The FV voltage must reach at least Vbat + 5V for the driver to start working.
After that, the minimum value of the photovoltaic voltage is Vbat + 1 V.
*2) A photovoltaic field with a higher short circuit current can damage the controller.
